Why it matters
Most charter is a call center with a markup.
You call, someone reads availability off a screen and books whatever fits their margin, on an operator you have never heard of. The aircraft and the crew were picked by a person with no stake in your trip beyond the booking. That is a lot to take on trust.
What we verify
Three checks, on every operator, every time.
FAA Part 135 certification
Confirms the operator is authorized by the FAA to carry passengers for hire under commercial rules, not private ones. Part 135 holds an operator to stricter standards for crew training, duty and rest limits, maintenance, and operational control than private flying requires. We confirm the certificate is current.
DOT operating authority
Confirms the operator holds U.S. Department of Transportation authority to sell air transportation. Being able to fly an aircraft and being licensed to sell seats on it are two different things. We check for both.
Insurance coverage and limits
Confirms the operator carries liability insurance, and we check the limits against your trip and the people on it. Coverage that exists is not the same as coverage that is enough.

LiftX Aviation is an air charter broker. We arrange flights on third-party direct air carriers that hold FAA Part 135 certification and operational control of the aircraft. LiftX does not operate aircraft. Before you enter a charter contract, we provide the disclosures required of air charter brokers under 14 CFR Part 295.
